lonely for the masses

yes, I do like depeche mode. in fact, the album ‘music for the masses’ bears strong importance for me, since it contains ‘never let me down again’. that song is my all time favourite from them. however, I am hardly capable of listening to it, because it overwhelmes my amygdala. I have been refining a special coping mechanism for many years: I detach myself from it – while knowing and appreciating that it is out there. I hum, I am aware of its beauty and of its toxic ecstasy, I even sing, but I detach myself. lonely people also detach themselves. maybe they are also aware of some toxic ecstasy.
